This self-paced course prepares an individual to evaluate and assess victims with potential symptoms of myocardial infarction, interpret their ECG for signs of STEMI, and activate a system of care for rapid reperfusion of an occluded coronary artery.
It also supports the efforts of the American Heart Association’s Mission: Lifeline™, a national initiative to improve quality of care and outcomes in heart attack patients by improving healthcare systems’ readiness and response to STEMI patients.

Students who successfully pass the cognitive and ECG recognition post-course tests can receive a completion certificate and are eligible for CE credits. Upon completion of the course and applying for CE credits, participants can also choose to enroll in the STEMI Recognized Provider Program.
